Care of linen bed linen
Thanks to its cooling properties and light weight, linen is ideal for a light, fresh summer bed. Linen fabric is a timeless favourite thanks to its many properties. It is naturally anti-static and very strong, but at the same time soft and pleasant on your skin. Due to its very low elasticity, bed linen is susceptible to creasing and shows all the characteristic irregularities of the yarn such as thread thickening, knots and base inclusions. The more often linen fabrics are washed, the softer and smoother they become. Compared to cotton, linen fabrics do not form fluff or pills.
The right detergents
Linen bed linen should be washed at 60°C and only coloured or mild detergents without optical brighteners should be used.
Preparation
Turn the bed linen inside out and close the zips. Load the laundry loosely into the drum without overloading it, as this puts unnecessary strain on the fabric. 2/3 of the drum is ideal.
Drying
You can tumble dry your linen bed linen, but treat it like delicates and do not overdry it.
Ironing
It is best to iron your linen when it is slightly damp. Do not always fold your linen fabrics in the same place, otherwise the fibres may break over time.
